  • Simple upright climbs
  • Basic inversions from standing (chopper, outside/inside leg hang)

Descents to aerial inversions and aerial inversions are not permitted in Novice.

Women's Amateur L1/2 Finals (ages 18+, women, solo) Competitor is a beginner level amateur with more fluidity of movement, variety of transitions, and comfort performing on stage than a Novice competitor. This may be the competitor’s first time competing.
Moves suitable for this division include:
  • Beginner standing and upright techniques that require greater pull up strength (ex. lifted fan kick, genevieve sit, pole sit variations such as a jazz split on the pole)
  • Upright climbs (side climb, spin climb)
  • Upright holds (pencil, stag, or straddle legs)
  • Basic inversions with variations (ex. outside leg hang to basic butterfly, inside leg hang to flat line scorpio)

Examples of maximum level of difficulty of moves include:

Women's Amateur L3/4 Finals (ages 18+, women, solo) Competitor is an intermediate amateur with more comfort and solidity in execution of tricks, more mastery and control of movement and greater fluidity in transitions, dance, and floor work than a Women’s Amateur L1/2 competitor. The competitor most likely has competed in another amateur level competition.

  • Spins (ex. one armed spins, spins that carry body further away from pole with more momentum such as a dynamic reverse grab with a flair entrance, carousel straddle, spinning straddle).
Examples of maximum level of difficulty of moves include:
  • Brass monkey, aerial invert, handspring with leg variations, aerial shoulder mount, ayesha and ayesha variations, jade split.
This division allows descents to aerial inversions and aerial inversions.

Women's Semi-Pro Finals (ages 18+, women, solo) The competitor has advanced beyond amateur level but is not yet a Professional. The competitor has solid execution of advanced moves, more difficult floor acrobatics including gymnastics moves such as arm balances, refined dance technique and form, and maneuvers that require greater flexibility and strength than an amateur level competitor. The competitor may have competed in semi-pro categories at prior competitions.

Examples of moves at the semi-pro level include:
  • Ayesha variations, jade split variations with clean form and execution of ideal angles, presses, deadlifts, iron x’s, marion amber, poisson variations.
